Internships in Communications, Research and Training
The German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) has about 110 employees in Research, Policy Advice, Training and Service Facilities. Two-thirds of them work as researchers. On a regular basis, DIE offers job positions within its research departments, at irregular intervals also within the service facilities, including internships for German and international students on a university degree course in the fields of research/policy advice, training and communications.
The particular tasks you will be working on during your internship will be agreed upon in mutual consent. Internships at DIE are not intended to prepare university term papers, diplomas or master theses. However, the topics can be related to something you are working on for your degree, thus producing reciprocal synergy effects.
In order to be eligible for a DIE-internship, students must either be following a Masters degree or other relevant graduate programme. In the Communications Dept. also applications of students on a Bachelor degree will be considered. Only students who have not completed their degree yet (i.e. who are still enrolled at university during the internship) can be considered.
