Full Job Description

Our Groundwater Unit Manager is responsible for the oversight and tactical decision making over a unit dedicated to the issuance of general permits for the collection and treatment of household and commercial sewage. Permitted facilities include on-site standard septic systems as well as alternative treatment systems and small scale wastewater treatment plants. Further responsibilities include managing the delegated responsibilities of ADEQ’s County Partners, evaluating and documenting employee performance, coaching staff and developing a corporate culture of continuous improvement.

Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in and/all of the following: wastewater treatment, septic systems, sewage, project management, environmental law and 2 years of management/leadership experience.

Bachelor’s degree in hydrology; geology; civil/environmental engineering; environmental science; geological/mining engineering; sustainability; environmental law; or a closely related field required.
