Job Description

Want to use your skills in campaigning to play a vital role in making clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone everywhere?

Join WaterAid as our Global Head of Campaigns to change normal for millions of people so they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.

The WaterAid Global Campaigns team plays a leadership role across the WaterAid Federation to drive the design and delivery of WaterAid's major advocacy and campaigns efforts to achieve SDG 6. We deliver an ambitious agenda, grounded in national level change and impact.

This is a full time, permanent role. The location of this post is flexible to countries where WaterAid has an established office. A consideration will be that this post will spend a significant amount of time working with colleagues and team members based in the UK. There will be some travel required, including to the UK if the person is located in another country.

As our Global Head of Campaigns you will have a leadership role in shaping and championing WaterAid's global advocacy priorities and its global campaigns. You will have strong political judgement, have excellent campaign networks that can be leveraged and be able to take complex policy and change processes and build compelling messaging and a clear campaign trajectory. You will have a track record of achieving political change in multiple countries and be adept at using an array of tactics including lobbying, public campaigning and the media.

As the manager of a team, you will have experience in matrix, remote or distance management and the ability to coach, motivate and develop a high performing team to deliver change. You'll be joining a 2020 Great Place to Work® award-winning organisation.
