The Water Sector Technical Lead will lead Criticality Sciences, Inc. in providing resilience analyses to the water utilities sector, with an emphasis on network failure analysis, product development, and business development for that sector. In the first six months, they may serve as the Principal Investigator on US government funded resilience research projects in the water utility sector. The Water Sector Technical Lead will be responsible for collecting and cleaning data, performing analyses using the Criticality Sciences NetResilienceTM platform, writing documentation, supervising a small number of technicians supporting these tasks, and forming relationships with partners and water utilities.
Candidate must have research and engineering experience, with an advanced degree or equivalent research degree and experience in a related field of research. Background in any of the following fields is highly desirable: water resources systems, hydraulics, systems analysis, network science, statistics, simulation modeling, and resilience. Knowledge of programming and software engineering would be a useful bonus. Successful candidates are expected to be highly motivated, have strong communication skills in oral and written English, and work effectively as leaders within a multidisciplinary team.
