Data Control Specialist
We are recruiting for a data control specialist to join our compliance, training and technical assistance section in the water protection bureau. The data control specialist’s primary function is to review, enter and maintain water quality data in the program databases and information management systems. This includes storm water construction general permit applications, discharge monitoring data and working with staff for reporting. The incumbent confers with managers, program staff, stakeholders, and other interested parties to meet data management requirements established internally or externally by statute, rule, permit, other legal instrument or by policy. This includes assisting with data system implementation, operation and maintenance, quality control, training and assistance, and data report design. These duties may also apply to the DEQ Internet and Intranet sites. This is a service-oriented position that requires a high level of customer service with internal and external stakeholders and effective time management skills.
