Danone recherche un(e) INTERNSHIP Sustainability and Water Resources Engineer F/M 6 months January/Febuary 2020 Evian (74) en France (FR).

Evian a cofondé en 1992, l’Association pour la Protection de l'Impluvium de l'Eau Minérale d'Evian (APIEME), qui a pour objectif de concilier la préservation de la ressource en eau et le développement local sur l’impluvium. L’une de ses premières concrétisations est le projet Terragr'Eau. Il vise la maitrise de la fertilisation des sols des 35 km2 de l’impluvium d’evian à travers la méthanisation des déchets agricoles du territoire et la création d’une filière d’épandage raisonné des engrais naturels.

L’unité de méthanisation Terragr’Eau transforme en engrais naturel, géré par une coopérative, 40 000 tonnes de matières organiques par an, principalement issues des exploitations agricoles locales. Ces matières font également l’objet d’une valorisation énergétique par une production de biogaz équivalente à la consommation annuelle en chauffage de 1 200 habitants.

MISSIONS

Location : Evian (74), possibility to travel overseas

The Water Cycle is a cross-division entity, which aims at driving the transformation to secure and protect water as an essential resource for Danone and the Communities. This is done through natural resource protection and restoration, water consumption reduction projects in our operations and our supply chain, and by providing inclusive water access solutions for communities.

In the Water Cycle team's Evian location, you will support Danone's water sustainability vision for the group's 4 divisions (Waters, Essential Dairy and Plant based, Specialized Nutrition, and Africa) and procurement teams.

Main responsibilities

1/ Data collection in operations and suppliers
• Collect data on water exploitation and consumption and create synthesis and database (charts, maps) at country level and corporate levels for Danone operations and its suppliers.

2/ Guidelines
Based on existing technical documents, and site experiences, establish technical guidelines for water savings in manufacturing processes, and waste water treatment, management and compliance (Danone's Clean Water Standard)

3/ Best practices
• Share best practices on water usage in operations for the divisions Essential Dairy and Plant based, Specialized Nutrition, and Africa.

4/ Communication
• Create communication toolkits to raise awareness internally and externally (suppliers) on water security and water sustainability.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Currently studying at Master 2 level (engineering school or university), specialized in Environmental engineering and sustainability, with preferred knowledge in : operational sustainability, water process, water resource management, waste water management
  • English fluent mandatory
  • Open minded, autonomous, curious, and able to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Good communication skills with strong computer skills (Excel advanced functions, PPT...)
