Deloitte Consulting LLP is accepting applications for qualified senior-level candidates to join its Water, Sanitation and Health (WASH) practice. Position Summary: The WASH Specialist will provide strategic and technical advisory for projects and business development relating to the WASH sector. She/he will provide strategic guidance and leadership to develop and oversee project implementation and will work with the project team to strengthen the capacity of institutional partners and stakeholders.


*Ten years of progressively responsible professional work experience in international development organization, national government or the private sector. A significant portion of the experience should relate specifically to WASH projects or projects with majority WASH components.

*Extensive experience in WASH, including knowledge of stakeholders involved, geographic experience, and a wide range of technical areas relevant to WASH, is required.

*Considerable experience working with global, national, and local stakeholders to support successful WASH programming and governance. Strong understanding of WASH governance structures and familiarity with key stakeholders and decision-makers is preferred.

*Demonstrated track record of providing leadership to highly complex donor projects. Candidates should have experience managing partners, subcontractors, and multiple teams. Experience working on USAID-funded projects highly regarded.

*Advanced university degree (minimum Master degree level) in one of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: Public Health, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Sanitation Engineering, WASH related Economics or a field relevant to WASH related development assistance.

* Ability to work in the US.
