RPS Water are looking to recruit Graduates for Wastewater modelling to be based from either our Glasgow or Ratho offices. This role will see you being office-based working alongside professionals who are the forefront of the industry.
The Water Industry is exciting and evolving, providing challenges and opportunities which require innovation, dedication and team work, to help us meet our clients’ needs.
o Involvement in a range of hydraulic modelling projects for our clients including model build, verification and option design
o Use of a range of computer packages for hydraulic modelling
o Comply with the company’s HSE and Quality Policies at all times
o Attend recommended training courses to assist with personal development as required by the company
o Supervise survey work, build and verify hydraulic models, prepare assessment reports in accordance with current standards and specifications.
o Achieve agreed output targets for project whilst maintaining quality of work
o Conduct problem solving and escalate any issues
o Liaise with project team members
o Assist Senior Modellers/Team Leaders with any other needs or requirements of the business
o Work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall project
o Perform required activities associated with projects (investigation, analysis, design and quality assurance)
Skills, Education & Qualifications required
• Civil or an Environmental Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• Good communication skills and written English
• Ability to work in a team to solve problems that matter
• Ability to manage and assess large quantities of data
• GIS skills
• Computing skills including previous experience of Excel
Desirable Competencies /Qualifications
• Full Clean Driving Licence
• Geographical knowledge of Scotland
