Your team will work to proactively shape city outcomes for water-related issues in the government's initial planning and policy development process. To achieve this, you will integrate water cycle management into land use and place based urban planning.
You will oversee and monitor the progress of flood and waterway health modelling, development control, engineering standards and stakeholder engagement.
You will identify potential issues; provide information to the executives; and coordinate team meetings and workshops to ensure project delivery.
Our client is a large government department located in Parramatta. They are involved in various multi-million dollar projects throughout Sydney. They operate on a 7 hour workday to promote work-life balance.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Advanced understanding of waterway management, flood planning, ecology, urban planning and future challenges faced by cities.
- Knowledge of the impact of utilities in city shaping outcomes
- Thorough knowledge of relevant planning acts
- Relevant tertiary education
This is a 6 month contract with possible extension.
