So, all the hard work has paid off... and it’s been an eventful time for JWJ! After launching our recruitment services earlier this month, we are super excited to share that the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has generously decided to make a major contribution to the functioning and expansion of the website for the next 18 months.

To launch JWJ’s recruitment services, our first client is a national government that is looking for a well-established senior water management expert who would have a similar role to that of a Chief of Party or has led major water resources management projects.

So, no different than the last two years, we will meet at Capital, which is the rooftop bar (8th floor) of the Scandic Continental hotel (Vasagatan 22), the one that is across the street from the Central Train Station.

We are trying to make the website more sustainable. A first step is to set up a contribution system for you, the users! Please consider giving back to the website.

There are three ways you can contribute:

As I try to carve out some time over the next few months to focus on developing the website further, one element I’d like to get back on track is the blog (it’s been over two years since a real one!). I have plans for how to do this, but I thought I would just get the ball rolling again with some of the basics of the website. Where it came from and how it works. I think these are the two most asked questions I get when meeting people and talking about the site.

UPDATE: The survey is now closed

Dear all,

In starting to look at taking the website up a notch, we wanted to reach out and do another feedback survey to see where you all are at with the site, how to improve the site and to gather more ideas for elements and functionality that could prove useful for you all in searching for jobs and enhancing your career development. We want to make the site as user-friendly as possible and look to add features that you find useful.

Apologies for the late notice on the venue, but we're all set now... And, not such a surprise in that we will be meeting at Capital, the venue from last year, which is the rooftop bar (8th floor) of the Scandic Continental hotel (Vasagatan 22), the one that is across the street from the Central Train Station.  We have a space reserved starting at 20:00, on Wednesday, 29 August, which is when I will arive.
