To launch JWJ’s recruitment services, our first client is a national government that is looking for a well-established senior water management expert who would have a similar role to that of a Chief of Party or has led major water resources management projects. This particular recruitment is unique in how they want to carry out the process in that those who are interested and match the brief, anonymous profile below please send me your CV and then I will get back in touch with some of you to share further information (client, location, etc.), gather more information on you and/or ask some clarifying questions. If the client is in turn interested in your profile, they will reach out to you. I will send an email to all those not selected to go further in the process.

My take: This is an interesting opportunity… I am familiar with the team and location of work. It’s definitely different and would be for someone looking for a change of scenery. The position offers an opportunity for a leader to come in and really take this government’s work on water resources management, in all its facets, to the next level. And is very well compensated.

Profile:

The client is searching for an accomplished leader in the field of water resources management. Someone who can provide both technical expertise, but also lead a multidisciplinary team of experts towards the identified objectives of the project. The person should have experience working with both the public and private sectors, international organizations and research institutions.

Fundamentals: At least a Master’s degree with over 10 years’ experience. International experience is a requirement. High level of English required.

Term: The contract would be at least for two years, with a possibility to extend.

Salary: Very, very competitive salary, commensurate with that of a Chief of Party position if not better.
